The Power Practical® PowerPot™ 5 is innovative, multi-operational and for most, mind-blowing. The PowerPot™ 5; converts heat into power, a thermoelectric generator. At night or during cloudy weather, the PowerPot™ 5 provides power when you need it most; options otherwise unavailable with so many portable cookware components. The 1.2L cooking pot offers real-time portable power, turning your meal into usable energy for any USB device . The PowerPot™ 5 is designed to operate over any heat source including an open flame; shifting a household electrical power outage, into a reason for food over a campfire. Never use the PowerPot™ 5 dry. PowerPot™ 5, a 5watt portable generator, is designed and assembled in the United States. Power Practical®, the makers of The PowerPot™ 5, and other portable power products, call Salt Lake City, Utah home.

After testing the Power Practical® PowerPot™ 5 we found the 1.2L cooking pot heats enough water or food in a single use for 1-3 people, the cooking pot weight in no heavier than your standard 1.2L outdoor cooking pot, and when pairing the Power Practical® PowerPot™ 5 with a lightweight backpacking stove, you maintain minimal weight. We tested the Power Practical® PowerPot™ 5 with the MSR® PocketRocket™, an ultralight canister-fuel stove; had sound performance while still allotting a safe, balanced, secure surface for the diametric size of the cooking pot.

The tester suggests the Power Practical® PowerPot™ 5 maximizes a 1.2L cookware capacity, provides a balanced benefit for cooking for two while backpacking the backcountry, allocates a useful mesh storage bag, and brilliantly extends the ability to charge your USB electronics.

Editor’s Note: Utilizing the included mesh storage bag to secure the cookware to the outside of your backpack allows the lid and cooking pot to drain any condensation from morning dew or remaining water particles from wash, while staying on the move. Further allowing the cookware to dry sufficiently, and additionally keeping water-born odor and bacteria at bay. The founders and product developers really thought of it all.
