Verde PR contacted me on Twitter in regards to ibex and their new digital catalog campaign: Merino In The Summer.

ibex was launching their new Spring/Summer 2013 tablet catalog on the app Coffee Table and were looking for feedback from passionate outdoor individuals. I was lucky enough to fit the description.

Ibex Sent

A ladies Lotus Print Tee, size Large in the color of Desert Gold. The ibex brand was unfamiliar to me at this time and I hadn’t used any other ibex products.

This Tee

is constructed of Merino Wool and included a flattering cut for the ladies, a light v-neck tendering a comfortable neckline while keeping a lady conservative and a stylish stencil design across the incredibly soft merino wool. The design, construction and fabric are kept simple and casual yet, give you a stylish look and a barely there feeling once on.

When Trying

A product I like to put them under the most extreme elements and through some rugged practices. Taking this shirt for its first trail run was not going to be any different. I received the tee right as our Arizona weather was heating up. I ran a fully exposed 4mile trail to the top of its peak and back while carrying my hydration backpack that weighed about 7lbs.

I Prefer

particular styles when choosing my outdoor apparel and hadn’t found any fashion-approved styles in ladies wool tees until this one. The tee was extremely comfortable and especially soft to the touch. The New Zealand Merino successfully kept my body temps low during full exposure of the bold Arizona sun all while I continued exerting my heart rate. After this tremendous performance from the ibex Lotus Print Tee this top quickly took its place in my weekly trail trekking apparel rotation.

In fact, I checked out their website and found they have a few more super cute tops like the Rio Blanco & Synergy X Tank, but they also offer winter baselayers like the Woolies 150 Crew Stripe.

The Only Problem

The length. The sizing of sleeves, neckline and width of this tee were great and didn't run small, but I would like to have the length of this tee to be a bit longer. I'm tall and enjoy having an extra inch or two in length especially while participating in outdoor activities.

Current Pricing

Merino Product isn't cheap and you aren’t going to get this top for under $50.

You can pick up a Ladies Lotus Print Tee for - $78.00 at the ibex Outdoor Clothing website

*I have not used the tablet app and don’t have experience with it in any form. Ibex Outdoor Clothing  as well as many other name brand outdoor apparel companies- currently list in their search engine.*
