Hell Hike And Raft 2015….. Challenge Accepted!

I’m still a bit shocked and currently riding out the speechless and overwhelmingly excited feeling I have had all this week, so forgive me if this post seems to babble.

If you haven’t been following our social media this week {shame on you!}, then I’ll be the first to tell you I have been officially selected as a member and accepted the offer to join this year’s team for Epic Social Adventures’ or ESA’s Hell Hike And Raft 2015 expedition taking place this August.

The Hell Hike And Raft 2015 expedition is a rare opportunity for a few different reasons and I’ll get into that in just a minute, but right now I want to try and express the gratitude I have for receiving this extraordinary and guaranteed unforgettable opportunity as well as my humble thanks to each one of you for allowing us to be your avenue of influence as well as your path of information and for sharing your families and priceless memories with us each week.

When I have the opportunity to communicate with you and showcase your photos to our community it never fails to amaze me viewing each adventure shared, knowing how many of you are out there living it up and enjoying every bit of the outdoors your region has to offer. The timeless moments and priceless family adventures you share keep the entire community hopeful and anxiously excited as we prepare for our next adventure.

I don’t feel like words are enough when it comes to giving thanks to each of you, but since I can’t reach out and actually thank or hug you all personally, I hope you’ll accept my words as a sincere and adequate expression of my deepest gratitude.

You probably tried browsing ahead to get to the sauce of the story, so I won’t keep you waiting any longer…

What is Hell Hike And Raft and why am I making such a big deal about it?

Hell Hike And Raft 2015 for me, I believe will be two very different things in comparison of start and finish. Hell Hike And Raft 2015 from the start is a rare opportunity that is offered to a select group of outdoor-loving, adventure-seeking individuals in which I had no part in the naming of. The journey itself will begin with a flight into Boise, Idaho and from there I join my entire team of trekkers as well as the highly experienced guide team from America’s Rafting Company.

The guide team from America’s Rafting Company truly needs an entire article dedicated to their expertise, credentials and know-how, but since I personally don’t have any first hand knowledge I’ll save the preaching for after my own experience. Until then, you can visit their website-www.americasraftingcompany.com and see a bit more about the additional adventures they offer {like the family rafting trips!}.

My team of trekkers will be built of twelve adventurers and we are all rhapsodically committing to, for what is to me, a first time ever out-of-state 6-day backcountry voyage. This voyage will offer each participant the opportunity to hike, camp and raft parts of Idaho I myself have never known of. We start with taking the trails through some rough terrain in the Seven Devils Mountain Range of northern Idaho for the first 3-days and will end our trip with the last 3-days rafting the rapids through Snake River of which is the beautiful body of water that bonds Idaho and Oregon together and flourishes both states with abundant beauty.

As if taking a 6-day out-of-state backcountry trip wasn’t wacky enough for me I decided I would do it with 11 other adventurers I have never met! Hey, I never said anything about taking the conformed or calculated route to adventure I only promised to share every insane minute of my adventures with you.

And that’s one promise I intend to keep! :D

In August I will be leaving the comforts of my intimate circle, my favoring familiar faces and the niche of my native state to join 11 other adventurers in Idaho that seem to show the same love and familiar insanity for adventure as I have and I honestly look forward to finding out what my finish looks like in comparison to my start.

Thank you again for being a part of this great community and keep an eye out as I prepare for my very own Epic Solo Adventure of 2015!

Of course all of us who experienced the HHAR journey last summer wish you could have joined us then, Rozanne, know that you are simply going to have one helluva blast in Hells Canyon. I'm so glad you're going to do it!

I am confused. I saw Scott announce HHAR this year is in Maine? I know it was in Idaho last year, but are they doing another Idaho trip? I am in Idaho... have been following ESA and hope that one year I can adventure out with them too! Congrats on your selection!
