Airport Overlook – Airport Loop – Sedona - Arizona - Mountain Matron


Most often when seeking a summit, a city overview isn’t your first intention, but so many wonderful towns across the globe are tucked firmly beneath magnificent mountains, saddles and summits greatly accessible to the public. Sedona, Arizona is a perfect example of that. 

Once you have parked you’ll walk to the trailhead between the hills. At this point you will have the option to take Brewer Trail, Summit Trail or Airport Loop.




Summit Trail .5 miles to Overlook (please follow the marked trail provided and DO NOT take the blazed trail created before the March 2015 conservation efforts) Summit Trail is perfect for a very short hike providing an astounding overview of the town of Sedona and surrounding mountains.

Airport Loop 4.0 Miles (round trip) We highly encourage the entire Airport Loop for prepared hikers. As you’ll get an amazing tour from above the town of Sedona and surrounding mountains.

Brewer Trail 2.0 Miles (no description)



Drive Route: AZ-260 of Cottonwood/Jerome (12.4 miles) to State Route 89A (turn right) drive (17.5 miles) to Airport Rd. Turn right on to Airport Rd. and follow .5 mile to parking area on the left {accessible by any sedan}.


Alternate Directions: Sedona Junction of Hwy 179 and 89A, take 89A West for 1.1 mile and turn left on Airport Rd. Take Airport Rd., .5 mile up Airport Rd. to the parking area on the left {accessible by any sedan}.

 


Coconino National Forest


This location is highly known for being one of four vortex sites in Sedona. You absolutely must visit for the scenery and landscape while we will allow you to interpret your own understanding of the energy.
