Reusable Water Bottle | Water Filtration | Retail: $49.95

LifeStraw® was generous enough to send the #UintasHike16 crew each a 2-stage filtration LifeStraw® Go for field test purposes. I  already carry the LifeStraw® Personal Water Filter (looks like a large plastic straw) in my backpack for emergency purposes, but have yet to use it. I have the LifeStraw® Go, in purple while LifeStraw® offers 4 additional color options with this series. The LifeStraw® Go made of a hard, durable BPA-Free plastic holds 650ml of water and according to the brand’s website, filters more than 1,000 liters of water to remove waterborne bacteria and protozoa using no iodine or iodinized resin.

Packaging for the water bottle is minimal. I took the included owners pamphlet out of the bottom of the bottle. Tore the protective plastic wrap from the mouthpiece and clipped it to my backpack. I’m sure it’s not recommended but I didn’t even wash the bottle before use, and after 3 days of scooping creek water in the High Uintas Wilderness of Utah, USA, with zero illness and uncertainty, the filter works. The LifeStraw® Go was easy to fill, easy to use, reliable and visually enjoyable. This water bottle will be a bit heavier than other reusable bottle options, but much easier to fill, and there is no wait time during hydration. The LifeStraw® Go 2-stage filtration water bottle will come with a convenient clip attached by a reinforced piece of fabric allowing your bottle to stay safely attached to your backpack through all forms of travel.

  • Easy to Use
  • Reliable
  • Fun Colors

The only difficulty with the LifeStraw® Go water bottle was finding the perfect balance between biting and sucking the water through the mouthpiece. This became slightly easier over time and familiar use, but never felt like a large gulp could be taken. The carbon capsule filter kept the water absent of foul taste, while no chlorine or odor was detected during use. The LifeStraw® Go utilizes a twist on cap, easy to replace filter connected within the interface of the cap, a plastic retractable, levered mouth piece, and a spout covered with soft rubber for comfort. Overall the LifeStraw® Go 2-stage filtration water bottle was worth the value, worth the convenience, and well worth the weight. While safe drinking water is necessity tasty drinking water is valued and increases your likeliness to stay properly hydrated in the outdoors.

Follow the Liters Program- Every LifeStraw® product sold, a child in a developing country receives clean, safe drinking water for an entire school year.

*Thank you LifeStraw® for allowing us to field-test your product free of charge. We appreciate and value your enthusiasm to spotlight the LifeStraw® Go 2-stage Filtration Water Bottle with an honest and free-spoken review*
