Arizona TV Spotlights | Visit Arizona Without Leaving Your Living Room | Mountain Matron

We are an outdoor focused website, and we love nothing more than to travel across the 48th state finding our treasured gems to share with our community, but when we hear the word Arizona in our few moments of T.V. our eyes and ears perk with excitement. The next time you’re stuck indoors we invite you to visit Arizona from an entirely different lens.

ABC'S The Great Christmas Light Fight

Christmas on Comstock, Gilbert, Arizona won the $50,000 grand prize (2015).

Season 4 Episode 1 : Season Premier

Season 4 Episode 2 : Phoenix, Arizona

A&E HD American Pickers

Season 4 Episode 3 - “Airstream Dream”

Season 6 Episode 2 - "Wolf Boy by Homer Tate of Apache Junction"

Season 13 Episode 20 - Jeff an Arizona historian and representative of Power from the Past, mentioned Willcox and wore a shirt that really hit home. During this same episode you’ll hear about Bisbee, Arizona. This may have to be my very favorite episode watched.

Food Network’s Diners, Drive-ins & Dives with Guy Fieri

Triple D hangs out in Arizona so often I have completely lost count, so we will name a few favorites to help you find good grub on your next visit.

DeFalco’s Italian Eatery, Grocery & Deli, Perk Eatery, Barrio Cafe, and Matt’s Big Breakfast are a few we’ve hand selected.

Food Network’s Kids Baking Championship

A young Cody Vasquez of Gilbert, AZ. debuts an appearance on the national show Kids Baking Championship competing against 7 other contestants, the winner would receive $10,000. Cody won the first round and was to return for more episodes. Our entire family was rooting for our hometown chef and would quickly gather to watch him compete. Cody was sadly eliminated in the third episode. He continues to follow his passion and seek his dreams here in Gilbert, Arizona.

Phoenix New Times, Heather Hoch, reported “10 Movies You Didn’t Know Were Filmed in Arizona”

  • Forrest Gump
  • Star Wars Episodes IV and VI
  • Planet of the Apes
  • Natural Born Killers
  • Wayne's World
  • Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
  • Wild Wild West
  • Dead Man

The next time you’d like to travel to Arizona but can’t, watch a few of these from the comfort of your living room.

Unfortunately I don't have cable, or watch TV, but these all sound like great shows! I live pretty close to AZ - so I suppose if I wanted my fix I could just drive for 6 hours ;)
